Opportunities for giving at Temple Beth Or encompass contributions to our endowment funds, our special-occasion donation funds, and our general fund. Our donors’ generosity enables us to provide special programs and services that help our members deepen their identities as Jews. Each contribution is a blessing for which we are grateful. All contributions to Temple Beth Or are tax deductible.
Endowments
Abrams Family Programming Fund supports activities designed to engage parents and children together in learning, celebrating, and participating in Jewish Life.
Antinofsky Endowment supports our Choir and Music programs
Bander Endowment provides funds for day-to-day operating expenses
Berton Family Endowment provides funds for general purposes
Guld Family Fund provides funds for general purposes
Hirschberg Endowment provides funds for Adult Education and Music Programs
Jacobs Endowment enhances existing and new interfaith programming
Kahn Family Religious School Program Development Fund to strengthen/enhance/develop programming for the Religious School
Kolkin Family Fund for Excellence in Teaching provides opportunities for advanced teacher training
Kramer Family Fund for Educational Enrichment provides new teacher training and seminars, enhanced student programming, and other similar enrichment opportunities
Levine Endowment provides funds for general purposes
Rabbinic Endowment was established by physicians of TBO to ensure ongoing care of our community
Sandman Endowment provides funds for the upkeep of our buildings, including beautification and repair
Satisky Congregation Hall Endowment provides funds to maintain and beautify our congregational hall
Satisky Educational Endowment provides financial assistance for religious school tuition
Schaffer-Feingold Endowment provides funds for religious school programming, curricular development and events
Second Century Endowment provides funds for for general purposes
Silverstein Rabbinic Endowment provides funds to support future Rabbinic searches
Silverstein/Gammon Endowment provides funds for general purposes
Unger Cantorial Endowment provides funds to supplement retaining a Cantor or Music Director
Special Funds
Ark and Ritual Objects Fund maintains our Ark and ritual items
Building Fund repairs and maintains our facilities and grounds
Flower Fund ensures that our bimah has a weekly floral arrangement
General Fund for any need
Gizella Abramson Fund offers financial scholarships to students who attend URJ sponsored programs and activities
Music Fund: general necessities for our music department
Preschool Fund: general use of the preschool
Rabbi Dinner’s Discretionary Fund provides financial assistance to those in need as well as other worthwhile causes
Religious School Fund provides tuition scholarships for families in need
