Temple Beth Or is committed to stand together to secure our shared future, both of our temple and our people. We are dedicated to the importance of Judaism, providing children with a Jewish education, celebrating meaningful moments in your life, mourning the passing of a loved one, or simply embracing the spirituality and traditions that are at the heart of Judaism.  For our congregation to thrive, an annual commitment to financial support is asked of all who wish to be a part of it.  To reflect this shared responsibility more accurately for our community, we use the term Member Gift to describe our annual monetary commitment.

As part of the membership process at Temple Beth Or, we ask all members to complete attestations recognizing our policies. These attestations ensure that everyone understands and upholds the values, expectations, and commitments that shape our community. By acknowledging these policies, we foster a shared sense of responsibility, respect, and inclusion, helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all. This process also helps protect the integrity of our congregation and ensures that we continue to operate in alignment with our mission and ethical standards.

Your 2024-2025 Membership Gift Level

Choosing the right membership gift level for Temple Beth Or is a personal decision that should reflect both your financial ability and your commitment to supporting our vibrant Jewish community. Our synagogue relies on the generosity of our members to sustain meaningful worship, lifelong learning, and engaging programming for all ages. We encourage you to select a level that is both comfortable and meaningful for you, keeping in mind the value Temple Beth Or brings to your life and the broader community. If you have any questions or would like guidance in making your decision, we are happy to discuss options that align with your philanthropic priorities.
Building Fund Obligation

Temple Beth Or has a $1,500 Building Fund obligation that all members meet in order to maintain and improve our wonderful  facilities. It is payable over 5 years at $300 per year.  If you choose to have any amount billed, it will automatically be added to your account.  This is a fee required by the TBO Board of Trustees.

Credit is given to those who have paid into a building fund at another Union for Reform Judaism congregation.
Security Fund Donation

Ensuring the safety and security of our members, clergy, and staff is our top priority. To maintain this crucial aspect of our community, we kindly request an assessment of $200 to support our security measures. Your contribution plays a vital role in safeguarding everyone within our congregation. Please consider making this important donation to help us uphold a secure and welcoming environment for all. Thank you for your support in protecting our community.
Membership in Temple Beth Or Sisterhood (TBOS)

As part of the TBO membership application process, you may join the Sisterhood.   You can learn more about Sisterhood here:  https://www.tboraleigh.org/sisterhood

TBOS has four levels of membership.  This allows our members, who are willing and able, to offer more than the standard dues.  The higher dues levels offset the expenses we incur as we provide services to the congregation and the community.
Membership in Temple Beth Or Brotherhood (TBOB)

TBOB provides a variety of volunteer activities and social programs for our members.  TBOB supports the Temple in many important ways, including providing support for various TBO Projects, b'nai mitzvah gifts, ushers for High Holy Days and more.  Dues are $36 per year.

You can learn more about Brotherhood here:  https://www.tboraleigh.org/brotherhood
Membership in Association of Reform Zionists of America (ARZA)

ARZA is the Israel voice and arm of the Reform movement.  Its focus is to make Israel a more central part of the identity of American Reform Jews and to create in Israel a more just, democratic and pluralistic Jewish homeland.  The annual fee is $50 per household.
Thank you so much for your donation. All membership gifts must be paid in full or secured with a payment plan through a credit card, echeck/ACH or automatic bank withdrawal.  You may set this up on the next page.

If you are not planning to use electronic payment, please complete the PDF version of the application. Your application will not be saved without partial online payment.  (We do this to prevent robots and spammers).

All membership contributions will be tax deductible in the calendar year they are paid. However, they are credited to your account by fiscal year (July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025).
